Missouri State Auditor Nicole Galloway has announced an audit of the 24th Judicial Circuit - City of Leadington Municipal Division.
"Transparency and accountability is important at all levels of government, including the court system," Galloway said. "I look forward to reviewing any audit findings and recommendations to improve service to the citizens of Leadington."
The Missouri State Auditor's Office is responsible for auditing the operations of municipal courts and divisions. The audit objectives are to evaluate the court's internal controls over financial transactions, compliance with the law and compliance with court rules.
The most recent audit of the Leadington Municipal Court was conducted as part of an audit of the 24th Judicial Circuit. The audit report was released in May 2000 and can be found here.
