The Hiring Process
The Missouri State Auditor's Office recruits prospective employees from all colleges and universities offering accounting programs in the state. We interview each year on state college campuses. Following the interviews, selected candidates are invited to the office in Jefferson City for a more in-depth interview. Offers of employment are usually made after the second interview, and candidates are given an adequate amount of time to consider the offer. This entire procedure allows both the prospective employee and the State Auditor's Office to get to know each other so a mutually beneficial decision can be made. Our recruiting and hiring policies are free of discriminatory practices. We actively recruit and select applicants for all jobs without regard to race, religion, color, sex, age, national origin, or disability.
