State Auditor John Watson announced today that his office has started an audit of the Carter County Collector. The State Auditor's Office is responsible for auditing a county collector's office when a vacancy occurs. The office became vacant upon the recent resignation of the former county collector. A successor was appointed by the Governor on March 24, 2015.
