Missouri State Auditor Nicole Galloway today responded to the Governor's call for special session to address certain tax carve outs. Yesterday, Auditor Galloway formally requested that the Governor call a special session to implement the recommendations of his School Safety Task Force. Specifically, she called for the state to fully fund armed and properly trained school resource officers in all Missouri schools.
"There is no greater priority than the safety of our kids. The bipartisan School Safety Task Force provided concrete recommendations in July on ways to protect Missouri schools. As parents bring their children back to school, this issue demands urgent action."
