The State Auditor's Office on Thursday (Feb. 27) filed a motion to resolve outstanding legal issues in a pending case brought by the office against the Clay County Commission. The motion was filed in Clay County Circuit Court. A copy of the filing is here.
Last week, the County Commission appealed a ruling from the Cole County Circuit Court affirming the State Auditor's authority to conduct the citizen-mandated audit now underway. That separate case, Clay County Commission v. Galloway, is currently on appeal in the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District.
