Galloway Names Two Senior Staff Members

Luetkemeyer and Moorefield Will Play Significant Roles in the Administration

Missouri Auditor Nicole Galloway announced today the addition of two senior staff members. John Luetkemeyer, CPA, will serve as the Deputy State Auditor and Michael Moorefield will serve as the Chief of Staff.

Auditor Galloway stated, "I hold both of these gentlemen in high regard. They are proven professionals who will help guide an already strong auditing staff. Like me, they are committed to providing innovative, professional auditing services which hold public entities accountable for the expenditure of taxpayer dollars."

John Luetkemeyer is a career certified public accountant and staff member of the State Auditor's Office. Luetkemeyer began his career with the State Auditor's Office in 1981 and has served as an Audit Assistant, Senior Auditor, Audit Manager and most recently on the senior staff as a Director of Audits.

Auditor Galloway stated, "John has a record of outstanding work in the Auditor's Office. His professionalism, experience and knowledge of the work we do is invaluable."

Michael Moorefield comes to the State Auditors Office from the Office of the State Treasurer where he most recently served as Deputy Chief of Staff. Mr. Moorefield has served in the Treasurer's Office since July 2013 and prior to that was at Polsinelli in the Public Policy Practice Group. He holds his Juris Doctorate and Master's in Business Administration from the University of Missouri.

"Michael is a lawyer and he has a great understanding of state government. He is one of the brightest young minds working in Jefferson City. His experience as a Deputy Chief of Staff will allow him step in and provide a smooth transition."

Both Mr. Luetkemeyer and Mr. Moorefield will begin their new positions officially on April 28, 2015.
