Audit scheduled as part of Municipal Courts Initiative
Missouri State Auditor Nicole Galloway has announced an audit of the 7th Judicial Circuit - City of Mosby Municipal Division.
"The residents of Mosby expect efficient, transparent government at all levels," Galloway said. "I look forward to reviewing how the court has incorporated recommendations from previous audits to improve service and accountability for its residents."
The most recent audit of the 7th Judicial Circuit in Mosby was released in December 2009. One of the audit findings revealed $6,445 worth of receipts that had not been deposited. In addition to the missing funds, the court administrator had been unable to locate many court documents. A link to the previous full report may be found here.
The Missouri State Auditor's Office is responsible for auditing the operations of municipal courts and divisions. The audit objectives are to evaluate the court's internal controls over financial transactions, compliance with the law and compliance with court rules.
