Missouri State Auditor Nicole Galloway has released an audit of the Bethany Municipal Court, located in Harrison County. While the audit was underway, court operations were transferred to the Harrison County Associate Court. The report includes a finding specific to the city's police department, which remains in operation.
The audit found the police department does not assign ticket books in sequential order and does not have a process to ensure that all tickets have been handled properly. The city's police chief has pledged to address the issue.
