Where: Kennett Oaks Senior Center, 900 Kennett St., Kennett, MO 63857

When:  Wednesday, March 23 @ 11:30 a.m.

"My team identified a series of concerning financial transactions during our audit of Dunklin County, so we expanded our review and worked with law enforcement to ensure steps would be taken to protect vulnerable members of the community,"  Auditor Galloway said. "I appreciate Attorney General Chris Koster and his team working quickly to resolve this issue. We remain committed to shining a light on any situation where public officials are taking advantage of their positions for personal gain."

Auditors discovered the issues during the course of a regularly scheduled audit of Dunklin County. Upon further investigation and involvement of Attorney General Chris Koster, Ms. Trowbridge resigned from office March 2, and agreed to repay the $800 of misspent funds.

Trowbridge had been the county's public administrator since 2007, serving as the court appointed personal representative for estates and as guardian or conservator for individuals unable to care for themselves or their property.
