Missouri State Auditor Nicole Galloway announced her office has started work on an audit of Pike County, located in eastern Missouri. The county's most recent audit was released in June of 2013, and received an overall performance rating of fair. Auditors will also conduct an audit of the Pike County Circuit Court, located in the city of Bowling Green.
"I look forward to conducting an independent review of both Pike County and the circuit court, and I encourage anyone with information to contact my Whistleblower Hotline," Auditor Galloway said. "It is critical that safeguards exist to ensure accountability at all levels of government."
