Missouri State Auditor Nicole Galloway announced today that her office has begun work on an audit of the government of Macon County, located in Northeast Missouri. Auditors are on-site in the county seat of Macon. The county's most recent audit report was released in August of 2013, and received an overall performance rating of good. Auditors will also complete an audit of the circuit court, also located in the city of Macon.
