Missouri State Auditor Nicole Galloway announced her office is beginning work on an audit of the government of Wright County, located in southern Missouri.
The county's most recent audit was issued in June 2012 and received an overall performance rating of "good," with findings identified in the offices of the sheriff and prosecuting attorney. The audit also found the county commission did not prepare meeting minutes for some closed meeting, as required by law. The upcoming audit will review these and other issues from past audits and make recommendations on improvements to benefit Wright County citizens. The 2012 audit report is online here.
