The Missouri State Auditor's Office has released an audit of the 13th Judicial Circuit, Boone County. The audit report includes information collected for the 2014 audit period and lists the court's overall performance rating as "fair."
Audit staff noted findings in four areas, including the Circuit Clerk's Accounting Controls and Procedures, the Court Administrator's Accounting Controls and Procedures, the Juvenile Justice Center and the Law Library.
In accordance with government auditing standards, Missouri State Auditor Nicole Galloway recused herself from participation in this audit and directed Deputy State Auditor John Luetkemeyer to oversee procedures performed by audit staff. Auditor Galloway is the former Boone County Treasurer.
